Blackface Naija is a Nigerian musician who specializes in dancehall, ragga, reggae and hip-hop genres. He was born Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo in Ogwule, Agatu, Benue State, Nigeria on August 30th, 1974. He started his music career as a member of the Plantashun Boyz, a group he formed with 2Baba and Faze in 2000.

He co-wrote the hit song “African Queen” with 2Baba, which became an international success. He also released several solo albums, such as Ghetto Child, Evergreen, Jungle Fever, Me, Musiq and I, Dancehall Business and Defender. He has won and been nominated for various awards, such as AMAA Awards, Criteria Magazine Awards, Hip-Hop World Awards and SoundCity Awards. He is currently working on new projects and collaborations with other artists.
