A man in Lagos, Nigeria, is at the centre of a viral video after a suicide attempt. The man tried to jump into the sea at night. This happened after he reportedly caught his wife cheating during a live video call.
Local people nearby quickly stopped him and pulled him to safety. However, instead of showing sympathy, the crowd scolded him. They asked why he would risk his life over a woman and emotional distress. The man remained silent and was seen crying while still on the video call with his wife. A police officer arrived to help and calm him down.
