Alh. Ibraheem Labaika is a Nigerian Islamic singer and songwriter known for his early music life. He started singing at the age of 10, inspired by his father, a singer. He joined the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, a Muslim organization that promotes Islamic music and culture. He learned how to play the talking drum, a percussion instrument that mimics the human voice. He also studied Arabic and Islamic studies at the University of Ilorin.
Labaika belongs to the Yoruba tribe, one of the largest ethnic groups in Nigeria. His music genre is Fuji, a fusion of traditional Yoruba music, Islamic chants, and modern influences.
